Affiliate Disclaimer
What’s an affiliate link?
Affiliate links track the purchases you make when you click the links on my site. When you use these links it gives me a small commission from those purchase at no extra cost to you.
Why do I use affiliate links?
Affiliate links help keep my content and website ad free. Plus, many of the companies offer exclusive coupon codes that help save you money.
How do I choose the affiliates?
- Clean/non-toxic ingredients (the cleaner the better)
- Eco-friendly initiatives
- Sustainability practices
- Quality, value, and innovative-ness of the product
- Ethical business initiatives
- Personal experience with the product
- Personal belief in the company’s product, mission, message and/or vision
When I find a product or company I like:
- I check out their products and recommend them considering their merit which is based on how they align with my beliefs mentioned above.
- I look to see whether the products have affiliate programs. If they do, I sign up and use affiliate links. If they don’t, I just use regular links.
Here’s what I don’t do:
- I never take money from someone in order to recommend their product (not worth the hassle).
- I don’t allow a commercial entity to produce content that I publish as if it were my own. I may state facts, but I’ll write my own opinion myself, thanks ;).
Non-Affiliate Links…
Not all of the links to products are affiliate links. But just to stay on the safe side, this disclaimer can cover them all.
If you prefer not to use an affiliate, no problem!
Just google the product instead of clicking the link :).
That being said, if you don’t mind using them, a BIG THANK YOU!
When you do use one of my links to make a purchase, you’re supporting my work at no extra cost to you, which I really appreciate. Thank you!
